Life can get overwhelming on it’s own, and the way of the world right now, this election, it’s enough to drive us all crazy! Stress and anxiety from a collective energy has the potential to cause us to quit making progress and moving forward in our purpose and goals.
Rather than allowing your mind to shift with all the pollution that’s being presented before us, we have the power and ability to get some relief. Don’t confuse what I’m about to advise as a reason to shut down and quit completely, rather, take it as a suggestion that we all need to take a time out for some self care and allow ourselves the chance to recollect and re-energize.
Recently I decided to not log on social media on the weekends, and it has been exhilarating. Majority of the time we don’t realize the amount of stimulation we engage with when we are scrolling, some things in our feed can easily allow us to fall under spells of stress.
So if you are starting to really feel a little frazzled, you will benefit significantly from taking a little time on your own away from the noise. It’s vital to permit ourselves chances to unwind and not have a guilt trip about it. Engage in taking some naps, get a pedicure, go for a long walk, just give yourself two days and feel the big benefits. You will benefit greatly from taking the time you need to stop and smell the roses, and not just see #rosesofinstagram!
